Toyota Highlander Hybrid 2025

2025 Highlander Hybrid: Limited 25th Edition in the USA

The Toyota Highlander was first released in 2000 and quickly became a popular model in the Toyota lineup for its improved ride and SUV versatility. The 2025 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Ltd, the 25th edition model, is about to be brought to market. The Hybrid Ltd, built in AWD grade, features all-new exterior and interior colors, premium space, new styling, along with other exterior enhancements, and an efficient hybrid electric vehicle powertrain. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid is expected to be popular as a family transport, as it can accommodate seven or eight people. Additionally, it is anticipated to keep fuel consumption to a minimum. The Highlander Hybrid comes with a trio of electric motors paired with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, delivering 243 HP and all-wheel drive.

What’s new in 2025:

The Toyota Highlander 25 has introduced several new changes to the model, such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, brand new paint options, and premium specs.

The Toyota Highlander’s exterior design will not be changed. The midsize SUV will continue to feature a sporty look with triangular headlights that extend up the hood, a small circular grille, and angular elements on the front fascia. The side of the Highlander showcases a prominent line connecting the bottom of the front fender to the taillights. At the rear, the SUV features a small roof spoiler, triangular taillights, and a chunky rear bumper.

The interior design of the Highlander will remain unchanged. It will continue to offer seating for seven to eight people. The midsize SUV will retain its Y-shaped dashboard, with lower trims featuring a smaller central display housed in a large trim piece, accompanied by two rows of buttons and dials located just below the screen. Higher trims will maintain the same Y-shaped dashboard design but come with a larger central touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster.

The Toyota Highlander has introduced several innovations in its technical features. A 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen, Amazon Alexa, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, five USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, six audio speakers, and satellite radio have been added. Additional technical features include navigation, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster

Highlander 25th Anniversary Edition:

The Highlander is launching the Highlander Hybrid to celebrate its 25th anniversary. It adds 25th Anniversary badges inside and out, including embossed headrests, projected images in the puddle lamps, on the floor mats, and on a special “key glove.” This special model also features unique bumpers and side skirts to set it apart.

Toyota is celebrating the Highlander nameplate’s silver jubilee with the 25th Anniversary Edition, available on the Limited trim. This celebratory model features distinctive bumpers and rocker panels, plus exterior color options, including Wind Chill Pearl and the exclusive Heavy Metal hue. The 25th Anniversary badge is also available on the liftgate and puddle lamp.

Inside, the seats are upholstered in leather to mark the 25th anniversary. Additional special logos adorn the floor mats, cargo liner, door sills, and headrests. A 360-degree camera comes standard.

Technology:

The Highlander Hybrid comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen and a 7.0-inch gauge cluster screen. A 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch gauge cluster are standard on higher trims, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain standard on every variant.

Toyota provides SiriusXM satellite radio, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa integration for all models. An 11-speaker JBL audio system is also available.

Safety:

As the Toyota Highlander has changed its exterior and interior, the Highlander Hybrid 25th edition places more emphasis on safety. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2025 Highlander Hybrid a five-star overall safety rating, with four stars in the front crash test, five stars in the side crash test, and four stars in the rollover evaluation.

The Highlander has added several new technologies to help the driver operate the vehicle smoothly. It includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, lane tracing assist, and automatic high-beam assist. Available safety features include parking sensors, reverse automatic emergency braking, and a surround-view camera.

Key safety features include:

  • Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection

  • Standard blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert

  • Standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist

.

Engine and Performance:

The Toyota Highlander has improved not only in beauty and safety, but also in engine efficiency. All variants are equipped with all-wheel drive. With a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and electric motor combined, the Highlander Hybrid produces a total of 243 horsepower.

2025 Power for the Toyota Highlander Hybrid continues to come from a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine is rated at 265 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is optional. The SUV is efficient, getting up to 35/35 mpg city/highway driving, but some models can have a range of over 600 miles.

Comfort and Quality:

The Highlander Hybrid has focused as much on comfort and quality as it has on aesthetics. It adds 3.9 inches to the Highlander’s 116.1-inch wheelbase, making the cabin more spacious and comfortable. The 2025 Highlander Hybrid features comfortable front and rear seats, generous cargo capacity, and can seat five adults comfortably.

The Highlander’s wide doors and ease of entry and exit are highly advanced. There’s still plenty of space, with an above-average 33.5 inches of legroom and ample headroom.

A pull strap easily collapses the third row, opening up 57.9 and 48.4 cubic feet for the Highlander. This expands to a very useful 84.3 and 97.5 cubic feet with the rear two rows folded down.

The larger model offers a 20.6-cubic-foot cargo area behind the third row, compared to the Highlander’s 16.0 cubic feet.

Warranty:

In celebration of the Highlander’s 25th anniversary, the Highlander Hybrid 2025 Edition offers an excellent warranty that most rivals don’t. It includes two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance.

The warranties are as follows:

  • Limited warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles.

  • Powertrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles.

  • Complimentary maintenance is covered for two years or 25,000 miles.

Last Word :

The new version of the Highlander Hybrid, which Toyota is launching in celebration of its 25th anniversary, is sure to win hearts and become one of the best-selling cars. The Highlander Hybrid offers a superior blend of beauty, safety, engine efficiency, and comfort, along with two- and three-year warranties that most rivals can’t match. The 2025 Highlander Hybrid edition comfortably seats five passengers, while the larger model can accommodate seven to eight adult passengers in three rows, all while reducing fuel consumption.

Finally, the Toyota Highlander is about to launch a version that won’t hesitate to leave its rivals behind.
