Exploring the 2025 Range Rover SE Long Wheelbase 7-Seater

This is the 2025 Range Rover SE Long Wheelbase seven-seater. Is it a great luxury SUV option?

Hey everybody, it’s Ektiar from Vehicle Tradelin! I hope you’re having a great day. Today, we’re at Land Rover of Shreveport to go over this seven-seater and tell you all the details. If you want to know more, check out the link down in the description of the blog.

Let’s start off here on the front end. I tell you what—nothing says luxury like black. Everything is blacked out here. The exterior color is Santorini Black.

We’ve got our black grille right here, which definitely looks nice. I like that. Now, not everything is black on the front end. We do have some gray finishes down here, but they have a bright, piano-style gloss finish—whatever we want to call that.

When it comes to our headlights, we’re going to have LED headlights, signature daytime running lights, and, down here on the lower portion of the bumper, something that I’ve discovered a lot of people like—fog lights. Not that any of you watching this are likely looking to buy, but who knows? You might be thinking of buying a Honda CR-V. If you go with the current generation, not a single trim level offers fog lights.

The Range Rover logo here in a dark gray color stands out pretty well. It probably looks better out in the sun. We’re in the showroom here at the dealership, so obviously, it doesn’t have quite the same effect as it would outside.

This vehicle features all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, so the back wheels actually incorporate into the steering process. Not by a lot, but it does help to improve the turning radius.

How about our tire and wheel size? We’re looking at 285 on the width, a 40-series sidewall, and these are the optional 23-inch wheels—not 21s, but 23s. Again, they are in gloss black. Once more, you’ll find some of that gray finish here, which really sets the Range Rover apart, breaking things up just a little bit.

When it comes to the side-view mirrors, we have body-colored mirror caps with built-in turn signal indicators. They’re going to have everything you want. I’ll let Austin come around to this side and show you that they include blind spot monitoring. They’re also heated, power-adjustable, and power-folding.

You’ll also have rear privacy glass, which looks a lot darker than it really is because of the Santorini Black exterior color. But you know what? That’s a good thing—it blends in and looks right.

Looking up top, we have the dual shark fin antennas. One of my favorite things is the clean look of the back window. There’s no exposed rear window wiper. That doesn’t mean one isn’t there—it’s just neatly tucked away inside the rear roof spoiler, which seems perfect for this particular model.

Obviously, LED taillights finish things off here. Again, we have the Range Rover logo, providing a very clean look. If anything is missing, it would be exposed exhaust finishers, but I think it gets the job done without them.

Speaking of exhaust, let’s talk about what’s being exhausted. Let’s open the hood and see what you’ll find there. For such a large vehicle, you might surprise some people out on the road when you need to get up to speed, go around them, or just enjoy a spirited drive. Under the hood lies a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8.For the purposes of this video, I removed the plastic cover so you can actually see what’s underneath. Maybe we should just leave it that way—what do you think?

I’m not going to leave it that way—I’ll snap the cover back into place. All of this is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. There’s tons of power here: 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.

Since somebody’s bound to ask if I don’t mention it, let’s talk about fuel economy. While a lot of people likely aren’t too concerned about MPGs with a vehicle like this, here’s what we’ve got: 16 MPG in the city, 22 MPG on the highway, 18 MPG combined, and 5.6 gallons of gas per every 100 miles driven.

Speaking of gas, let’s walk around this way and take a look. The gas tank is located on the passenger side. Unlike a capless fuel fill, you’ll find a standard gas cap here. If you want, you could snip it off and replace it with a locking gas cap The fuel tank holds up to 23.8 gallons when filled. There’s tons of power here: 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.

If you want, you could snip it off and replace it with a locking gas cap. When you fill up, the fuel tank has a 23.8-gallon capacity.

Real quick, let me show you the remote. It’s pretty basic, but it’s functional. There’s a button you can press to turn on the headlights at night, making it easier to locate the vehicle. Here are the power-folding mirrors in action. You can see them working, along with the deployable door handles on the front and rear doors. These aren’t just a novelty or a design quirk—they serve an aerodynamic purpose, which is a nice touch.

Now, I’ll have Austin come around to this side to show you something else. You obviously have soft-close doors. If you don’t close the doors all the way, the vehicle takes care of it for you. This feature is available on both the front and rear doors. Speaking of the rear doors, one thing I really like is how wide they open. It’s easy to get into the back seat of this Range Rover. From a practical standpoint, this SUV is highly capable—it can tow up to 8,200 pounds.

Now, let me show you the power tailgate. I’ll press the button right here to open it. The Range Rover features a split tailgate setup, which has several advantages. You can even sit on it for tailgating. The upper section of the tailgate includes interior lights that shine down, providing cargo lighting. I’ll let Austin highlight some of the lighting and buttons for you. Regarding cargo capacity, you’ve got 43.1 cubic feet of space, which can expand from 8.7 cubic feet (with all seats up) to a maximum of 92.9 cubic feet.

You might notice as I stand here that the rear of the vehicle is higher than it was earlier. That’s because I raised it using the air suspension controls located right here. If I want to lower it, you might even hear the air releasing. Let’s give it a try—you can actually hear the air being released. That’s one of the cool advantages of filming here in the Land Rover showroom. At the Rover dealership, the air suspension can drop the vehicle back down, making it much easier to access your cargo area. That said, there are advantages to raising it up sometimes as well.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the rear cargo area. We have power rear seats back here, and all I have to do is touch the controls. I’m not sure if the seat on the left will fold all the way down, but let’s see—it looks like it will. The same can be done with the middle seats.I know a lot of you like to see everything maximized, but for some reason, the seat on the other side isn’t folding down. Sometimes that happens, but as you can see, there’s still plenty of space back here when the seats are down.

But what about space for your third-row passengers? This is a seven-seater, so that’s a very important question. There’s plenty of room in the middle row, but let’s see what the third row offers and how you access it. I’ll let Austin show you the controls and switches.

Those two arrows pointing up and down move the seats out of the way. The top two buttons allow you to fold the rear seats flat. In case you’re curious, I’m going to press the down arrow once. You’ll notice the driver’s seat automatically moves forward to make room for the second-row seat to slide out of the way, giving easy access to the third row.

Let’s test this out. I’ll press the button, and there we go—it’s moving. Now I’ll bring the seat back to its original position to show you the space in the third row. The seats are a bit further forward than they’d usually be, but they’ll adjust back in a moment. And yes, there’s a lot of room back here. I like that. In terms of seating, we have two seats in the third row, three in the middle row, and two more up front. This is indeed a seven-seater. Let me grab the camera real quick from Austin so I can show you a few things up close.

Back here, you’ll find lighting, air conditioning vents, and cup holders. The cup holders are a decent size—big enough for a bottle or cup. You’ll find the same setup on both sides.

Now let’s talk about some additional features back here. There are air conditioning vents in the roof and also on the rear of the center console. You can control the fan speed, turn it down, or adjust the heated and ventilated seats from here. For connectivity, you’ll find USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, and more. There are also large rear seat pockets, a fold-down armrest with built-in cup holders, and a center storage section. While it’s not super deep, it’s practical and works well.

And let’s not forget the panoramic sunroof. The power shade can be drawn back and forth, and the front portion of the sunroof can open. Now, moving to the rear door panels, there’s a lot going on. One feature I like is the power shade, which you can control from either door. That’s a nice touch! You can also see the controls and switches for various functions, which allow you to turn different features on and off. One thing I appreciate is that there’s not an excessive amount of gloss black on the door panels—it’s a clean, functional design.

Moving on, let’s take a closer look at the door panels. There’s a little bit of chrome and silver trim, which adds a refined touch. The large door bins provide some extra storage for the rear seat passengers. For the middle-row passengers, you can control the seating position, and I’ll demonstrate that here. There’s also seat memory, which is a great feature. You can move the seats forward and back, like this, or recline them. In fact, they recline quite a bit. Let’s bring it back up, and I’ll point out another detail: illuminated door sills. These are not just on the rear doors but also on the front doors, adding a premium feel.

Now, what about the sticker price? Is there sticker shock? Well, this Range Rover comes in at $158,400. It’s a significant investment, but it’s packed with cutting-edge technology and luxurious features. Let’s talk about the passenger-side door panel. You’ll find a host of great features, including controls for the seat position, seat memory, and other adjustments.Everything is thoughtfully placed and user-friendly.The door also has a large armrest and a spacious door bin. Moving to the glove boxes, there’s an upper and a lower one. The lower glove box offers decent space, while the upper glove box adds a little extra storage—always a nice feature.

Another highlight is the ClearSight rearview mirror. Right now, it’s showing what’s behind us in the showroom, where we’re filming. You can switch between the ClearSight digital display and a conventional mirror, depending on your preference or situation.Up on the upper console, there’s a bit of gloss black, so you’ll want to be mindful of fingerprints. Here, you’ll find the controls for the power shade and the power sunroof. I’ll grab the camera real quick since Austin’s arm isn’t quite long enough to get this shot.

The flickering effect you might notice is just an artifact of the cameras we use for filming on YouTube—it’s not something happening in real life. Now let’s take a look at the driver-side controls. You’ll find all the usual adjustments for the power side-view mirrors, seat controls, and more. On the steering wheel, you have mounted controls for various functions, including the heated steering wheel. While it’s not on right now (I’d need to turn the engine on), the feature is available. Additionally, you have all the controls for cruise control and the shifter paddles right here.

Right here, when you’re feeling “shifty”—well, maybe not—but when you want to shift the 8-speed automatic transmission, the paddles are at your fingertips. Go ahead and laugh; it’s okay! Next, let’s take a look at the driver’s display. When we press this button, you’ll notice the arrows that pop up, allowing you to navigate through a variety of features available on the display. It’s highly customizable. There’s also a head-up display, though it might not be showing up well here in the showroom lighting. You’ll notice a clean and modern look on the driver’s display—a combination of digital and analog gauges that blend the best of both worlds for a premium feel.

All the controls for your headlights, taillights, front, and rear wipers are conveniently located right there. Now, let’s move to the Pivi Pro infotainment screen, which has a lot to offer. All your controls for air conditioning and climate settings are managed here. For instance, if you want to adjust the front seats, you can do so directly on the screen. You can also access the rear climate controls if needed, though the rear passengers have their own set of controls. Options like vents and air quality settings are easily managed from here—simple and intuitive.

Switching to the vehicle settings, you’ll find several driving modes, including Comfort, Eco, Auto, Off-Road, and Dynamic. For those wondering where to turn off Auto Start-Stop, it’s right here in the infotainment screen. Other features like Auto Brake Hold and ride height adjustments are also available. Speaking of ride height, you can select Normal, Access, or Off-Road modes. Note that if you’re in Access or Off-Road mode and exceed 15 mph, the system automatically resets to Normal height. While it looks great in that low-profile stance, it won’t stay there while driving. For navigation, you have built-in options, but you can also connect your smartphone wirelessly to use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The interface is simple and user-friendly.And let’s not forget about lumbar support! While it wasn’t immediately visible when we looked at the seats earlier, it’s here in the infotainment system. Both the driver and passenger seats are power-adjustable, heated, and include customizable lumbar support, ensuring a comfortable ride every time.

Let’s talk about the massage seats in the front—an excellent touch for long drives or just a little extra comfort during your commute. All these features are conveniently accessible via the infotainment system. The interface is user-friendly despite the vast array of options, making it easy to navigate. I like to call it the “hunt and peck” method—just tap around, and you’ll quickly figure out where everything is.You can customize the system with features like dark or light Auto themes, haptic feedback settings, and home screen layouts. Adjust your audio preferences, check for software updates, or explore the extensive options under the “All” tab.

One of my favorite features is the multitude of camera views. Whether you need a rear view, front view, side view, or an off-road perspective, this system has you covered. The off-road view even shows the tire positions and vehicle dynamics, ensuring confidence when tackling tough terrains. While you can’t see directly underneath the vehicle, that’s rarely a necessity. Moving on to convenience features: the wireless charging pad is located just below the infotainment screen. It’s easy to access—just slide your phone in, and it starts charging immediately. There’s also a USB port nearby and a bit of additional storage for smaller items.

I like the design of the shifter—it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. A simple button press allows you to switch between Drive, Reverse, and Park. Right beside it, the engine start/stop button is easily accessible. The cup holders are cleverly designed too. They can be moved out of the way to reveal even more storage underneath, along with another hidden USB port. When you’re done, you can cover everything with a sleek lid for a clean look. Now, let’s talk about the armrests. You have two options: the adjustable armrests or the center console lid. Personally, I prefer the center console lid for its solid feel, but the adjustable armrests provide a more tailored level of comfort.

Another thoughtful feature is the illuminated seat belt buckles, which are especially helpful at night. It’s such a simple yet practical touch that enhances usability.

Finally, the refrigerated console is a standout feature. With multiple cooling settings, you can keep your drinks chilled or simply use it as extra storage. On a hot summer day, it’s so convenient that you might wish it were big enough to climb into! The 2025 Range Rover SE Long Wheelbase 7-Seater certainly brings a lot to the table as a luxury SUV option. It offers a wealth of features, elegant design, and plenty of space for passengers and cargo. While there are models with even more bells and whistles at a higher price point, this model strikes a solid balance between luxury, practicality, and performance.

What do you think? Does the 2025 Range Rover SE meet your expectations for a premium SUV? We’d love to hear your feedback in the comments below!. A special thanks to our friends at Land Rover of Shreveport for giving us access to this incredible vehicle so we could share it with you.
